Abstract: 

This article discusses a revised NIAAA, tragedies of drinking which is viewed as a freshman year tradition, teenage brain development, a new drug that seems to allow alcoholics to limit their drinking, an examination of the effects of smoking and drinking for the first time, helmet laws for motorcycles, Idaho’s score on General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) polls, construction site safety, programs in Santa Fe offering free cab rides to intoxicated individuals, Ambien’s effect on driving, a look at small cars and the fatality rate in crashes, and meth in the Native American communities.
