Abstract:

College students and adolescents have found a new genre of drugs mistakenly believed to be safe because of their lawful use within the medical field. These drugs include highly concentrated narcotics, along with dangerous fillers. With the ever-growing demand for these drugs, and their ability to be easily synthesized, young adults have become the ever increasing victims of what has been notoriously labeled as “designer drugs.” This article addresses the different kinds of drugs that are used and why they pose such a threat to individuals and to society itself.
