Abstract: 

The journal’s editor briefly highlights six issues and practices that are gaining the support of academic researchers and policy makers: greater use of assessment instruments; the benefits of forging therapeutic alliances with offenders; the pervasive impact of trauma and the importance of trauma-informed interventions; aging offenders; keeping a focus on desistance; and restorative approaches.
