Abstract:

Working with museums requires a thoughtful approach. Allowing others to view the objects the collector has acquired over the years should provide satisfaction and enjoyment. However, achieving a worthwhile result depends on numerous factors, affecting the collector, heirs, and the museum. There are deduction and use limitations as well as restrictions on the fractional use of donated objects. These factors depend, in part, on the manner in which the museum deals with the donated works.
