Abstract:
In July 2003, AARP surveyed 2,069 American age 45 and older to assess their giving and volunteering habits and to probe variances among the white, African-American, Hispanic- American, and Asian-American communities. The AARP report, “Time and Money: An In-Depth Look at 45+ Volunteers and Donors,” expanded the definition of volunteer activities to include formal volunteering (such as board service, docent service, or hospital volunteer) as well as less formal arrangements such as community service or mentoring. Keywords:
