Abstract:
What do these three international charities have in common—apart from engaging in important and valuable work in far-flung corners of the globe? All are supported by U.S. family foundations that have chosen to make international giving a part of their charitable mission. U.S. tax laws do not provide incentives for giving directly overseas; in addition, donors often find it hard to obtain good information about who’s doing what, how organizations spend their money, and how they measure results.Keywords:
