Abstract:
This article describes the primary counterterrorism measures of relevance to U.S. nonprofit grant makers. In particular, it describes the provisions of Executive Order 13224 and the USA Patriot Act, both of which were signed into law shortly after September 11, 2001. It also discusses the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s “Anti-Terrorist Financing Guidelines” and the “Principles of International Charity” developed by the nonprofit community in response to those Guidelines.Keywords:
