Abstract:
When you file an exemption application, you obviously have to demonstrate to the IRS that your organization is actually organized, and will be operated, exclusively for charitable purposes. And anyone who has spent much time with Form 1023 knows that the IRS takes those requirements seriously. A recent private letter ruling, PLR 200929019, demonstrates some of the things that can lead to a disappointing result.Keywords:
