Abstract: 

What, if anything, differentiates military sexual offenders from civilian sexual offenders? This article summarizes the current statistics on military sexual assaults compared to sexual assault among the general civilian population. Furthermore, given this information, this article will recommend additional research steps to better understand and address military sexual assault.
