Abstract:

For Love of Country: Confronting Rape and Sexual Harassment in the U.S. Military (Haworth Maltreatment & Trauma Press, 2002), written by Terri Spahr Nelson, MSSW, ACSW, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and a psychotherapist now practicing in Oxford, Ohio, describes the experiences that women serving their country have by way of rape and sexual harassment, and the response most of them get. But, in fairness, as she readily acknowledges, she solicited stories, which means the results are not a representative account.
