Abstract:

This report is on burglars and breaking and entering crimes. Many criminals, including sex offenders, commit such crimes but little scientific, investigative, or clinical attention has been given to studying the personalities and motives of burglars. This case is about a career rapist whose criminal rap sheet lists the four major crimes as multiple burglaries, grand larcenies (not auto), and criminal possession of stolen property. The trial described is for three sex crimes committed and detected during his probation. The question is: does criminal behavior escalate to sexual crimes or is there a sexual motive to all crimes?
