Abstract: 

Editor’s Note: This is the first of a multipart article discussing Florida’s laws pertaining to sexual offenders. The first part of the article addresses registration and notification statutes in Florida., as well as conditions for those under the care of community corrections. Over the past decade, state legislatures have passed numerous laws pertaining to sexual offenders. Often these laws were hastily enacted in response to particularly heinous crimes and sexual offenses.
