Abstract:

Sexual Delinquency in Racine: Does Early Sex Offending Predict Later Sex Offending in Youth and Young Adulthood? by Franklin E. Zimring, Alex R. Piquero, and Wesley G. Jennings. This article is an overview of the major findings of sex offender studies published in criminological journals in 2007. These studies add to our understanding of the causes of sexual offending, criminal career trajectories of offenders, efficacy of treatment and management of sex offenders, and policy evaluations of current laws related to offenders. We thought it would be beneficial to summarize these findings for SLR readers, because it is likely that the readership has not seen or had access to many of the original publications. Sex Offender Legislation in the United States: What Do We Know? by Michelle Cohen and Elizabeth L. Jeglic.
