Abstract:
The complete issue version includes all of the articles listed in the table of contents above. Also includes brief coverage of the release of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s in-depth grand jury report on the systemic failures and proactive cover-ups that allowed sexual abuse in Pennsylvania’s Catholic Church; and a review of a study,“Adults’ Insensitivity to Developmental Changes in Children’s Ability to Report When and How Many Times Abuse Occurred,” by Kyndra Cleveland and Jodi Quas and published in the journal Behavioral Scis & Law, which showed that children often have trouble with the temporal details of abuse, and, as children age, increased testimonial accuracy paradoxically can result in more tentative reports and lower apparent credibility. Keywords: Patterns of Sexual Assault in Indian Country and Legal Response; Structured Professional Judgment (SJP) Measures; Catholic Clergy Sex Abuse; Eyewitness Misidentification and “Exposure Duration”
