Abstract: 

Part of a series of articles examining the concept of repressed memories as the basis of legal cases in civil and criminal court. This article briefly explains the syndrome and examines the debate about the conflicting science behind it, concluding that the debate should be refocused away from braining functioning and memory processes and toward methods of corroboration that satisfy legal standards.
