Abstract:
Evaluations may be relevant at any stage of a sex offender civil or criminal proceeding, but they are usually used by courts at sentencing or to set the terms of imprisonment or release, including conditional release, treatment and intensity, the level of and conditions to community supervision, and registration and notification requirements.
