Abstract: 

Our regular review of the research literature this issue covers “DoD Retaliation Prevention and Response Strategy: Regarding Sexual Assault and Harassment Reports” by Department of Defense (2016), the strategy and groundwork for the SAPRO retaliation response process is covered in this publication; “Booted: Lack of Recourse for Wrongfully Discharged U.S. Military Rape Survivors” by Human Rights Watch (2016), explores damages done to previously assaulted military members; “Minors and Sexting: Legal Implications” by Melissa R. Lorang, Dale E. McNiel, & Renée L. Binder, the legal ramifications of participating in sexting; “Sadism and Violent Reoffending in Sexual Offenders” by Reinhard Eher, Frank Schilling, Brigitte Hansmann, Tanja Pumberger, Joachim Nitschke, Elmar Habermeyer, & Andreas Mokros, this reviewed article examines how violent reoffenses may be influenced by sexual sadism; and “Demystifying Female Perpetrated Sex Crimes Against Children” by Michael Pittaro, the author contends that female sex offending is even more pernicious than that committed by their male counterparts because of the gender expectations culturally connected to women.
