Abstract:
Pending and Trending surveys recent sex crime cases raising novel issues that push the boundaries of decided law, in both the U.S. and internationally. This issue’s column reports on the change in California penal code to include sex offender registry status in background checks, a nail polish that detects the presence of daterape drugs, addressing sex offending by intimate partners, payment for sexual assault medical forensic exams, sexual assault statute of limitations resources, and divorce rates among couples with heavy drinking by one spouse.Keywords: Calif.
