Abstract:
Although the Americans with Disabilities Act guarantees that people with disabilities have access to goods and services, they often find that the very services that should protect them from violence are not accessible to them. This is unfortunate, given that a higher percentage of people with disabilities are victimized than in the general population. This article describes an innovative program in Texas that was started in order to address this need, and the components of this program.Keywords:
