Abstract:

When does the statute of limitations expire in cases of child sexual assault? In this article, we explore two cases where courts ruled on the statute of limitations regarding cases of child sexual abuse. In both cases, plaintiffs made complaints many years after their assaults when they realized that the difficulties they were suffering as adults were due to sexual assaults they had experienced as teenagers. In both cases, the courts ruled that the statute of limitations had expired.
