Abstract:

Partner violence can impact men and women in their workplace, as a new report entitled Domestic Violence Assaults in the Workplace Study describes. Among the major findings: the overwhelming majority of the perpetrators are male, and half of the assaults result in at least one fatality. The most common place for assaults is the parking lot, and these are more likely to occur at the beginning of the workday. This article, which reviews the study in depth, provides a link to download the full report. It also offers a number of recommendations for employers.
