Abstract: 

This article reviews common traits of intimate partner stalkers and discusses risk assessment, management and treatment considerations for this population. The author is Co-Director of Emerge, one of the nation’s first abuser intervention programs, established in 1977. His numerous publications include “Why Do They Kill? Men Who Murder Their Intimate Partners“(Vanderbilt Univ. Press, 2007).
