Abstract:

This article examines the prevalence and manifestations of stalking, which often accompanies other forms of intimate partner violence and which frequently occur within the context of the victim’s work environment. As the author explains, stalking may signal potentially serious and even lethal intentions on the part of the stalker. Thus, as the author explains, reports of stalking require careful assessment, and the imposition of vigorous safeguards on the part of employers, to ensure the victim’s safety and to prevent the most dire outcomes, which may include domestic violence homicide.
