Abstract: 

In this second piece addressing the sexual exploitation of youth, Amber Morzcek notes that a common theme in incest porn is the depiction of young dependent members of a family being eager to engage in sex with older relatives. She draws parallels between the incest themes depicted in mainstream media and the commonality of incest themes within the pornographic industry—both of which are tied to the rape culture that continues to lurk in the background of our society. One pornographic hub-sites, Pornhub, reported that the top three search terms of 2016 were family-themed. The frequency and casualness with which incest is portrayed as commonplace dismiss the psychic damage incurred through familial sexual violence while normalizing it in the eyes of viewers.
