Abstract:
If society can protect children from domestic violence and child abuse, we would enjoy a dramatic improvement in the health of children and adults with huge financial savings. In this article the Saunders’ study provides information on how to reform the custody court system and the Quincy Model proves that domestic violence and child abuse are not inevitable and that they can be dramatically reduced by using a group of easily implemented best practices.Keywords: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE); Saunders’ study; Quincy Model; Safe Child Act; health costs related to domestic violence
