Abstract:

Criminal justice professor Yumi Suzuki outlines the results of her research on the attitudes and of college students about how to respond when a victim of rape seeks their help or advice. Here, she reports on her findings regarding the specific referral and recommendation—to police officers, or to mental health professionals—that the students believe they would make, should they receive a report of sexual assault from a fellow student.
