Abstract:
This issue of EBDY includes three articles that discuss methods for supporting the provision of effective mental health services to children and youth. The fi rst article, by Stephan, Wissow, and Pichler, discusses the importance of providing mental health supports to students in their schools and describes models that integrate health and mental health care in school settings. The second article, by Robert P. Franks, describes the role of an intermediary organization, the Connecticut Center for Effective Practice, in promoting and disseminating mental health best practices for children and youth. The third article, once again adapted from the forthcoming book by Evans and Hoza, Treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Assessment and Intervention in Developmental Context , is by Owens, Storer, and Girio, who synthesize the research data to make recommendations about treatment of elementary school aged youth with attention problems. Keywords:
