Abstract:

“ADHD” has become a modern euphemism to explain away the most trivial instances of forgetfulness, restlessness, and social miscue. Nevertheless, professionals treating youths with ADHD realize the seriousness of the disorder and the growing gap between the research literature and public opinion. Through consultation, school-based behavioral consultants (BCs) provide educators with accurate information regarding ADHD and facilitate evidence-based interventions in schools.
