Abstract: 

Given the challenges that disruptive behaviors create for children, their families, and broader social institutions such as schools, developing and implementing effective prevention and/or treatments for these behaviors requires immediate attention from the children’s mental health services community. Reviews have concluded that behavioral parent training (BPT) has met the standard as an evidenced-based treatment for child disruptive behaviors.
