Abstract:

The annually anticipated Industry Roundtable is the NFMA’s version of a Sunday morning talk, where liquidity takes on meaning beyond coffee. Mary Francoeur is managing director at PFM Financial Advisors, LLC, and NFMA chair. B. Jonas Biery is business services manager for the City of Portland, Oregon, Bureau of Environmental Services, and chair of the Government Finance Officers Association’s committee on governmental debt management. Lynnette Kelly is executive director at the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. Dean Mead is senior research manager at the Governmental Accounting Standards Board and coordinator of the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council. Rebecca Olsen is acting director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Municipal Securities. Dee Wisor is a partner at Butler Snow LLP, and a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers board of directors. This article is based on the authors’ discussions during the “Municipal Industry Roundtable” at the 35th Annual Conference of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts held in Coronado, California, May 29–June 1, 2018.
