Abstract: 

This second installment of a comprehensive two-part article contains a detailed comparison of the United States and German income tax regimes as they affect myriad business and investment activities, including consideration of capital gain and loss rules, loss limitation rules generally, rules affecting carryover of unused losses, the treatment of dividend and interest income, and limitations on the deductibility of trade or business expenditures.
