Abstract:
This article calls attention to the problem of confidentiality for students who wish to report incidents of bullying without risking retaliation from their tormentors. The author created the anti-bullying software, "BRIM"—Bullying, Reduction, Intervention & Monitoring—to solve this problem. The software provides a confidential online platform for reports from a victim, a bystander, or a school official, and the online information can be read and tracked by school administrators. Keywords: bullying, confidentiality, record-keeping, software, teen social environments, school protocols, training
