Abstract: 

This is the first of a two part article. The first part explains what the Family Justice Center is and how it operates. It is a first-person account by a deeply involved participant in the San Diego Family Justice Center–the most comprehensive “one stop shop” for services to family violence victims and their children that had ever been built.
