Abstract: 

This research review summarizes three recent articles concerning the topic of domestic violence and custody. Collectively, they explore several different aspects of custody decisions: the obstacles that mar the operation of joint custody, the implications of research findings on custody decisions involving domestic violence, and New York’s approach to the role of domestic violence in child custody.
