Abstract:

This special issue is devoted to lethality assessment. It is guest edited by Jill Messing, Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University. As a social worker and a researcher, Messing is testing and developing versions of the Danger Assessment for specific interventions and populations, including culturally appropriate risk assessments. The issue is dedicated to Jacquelyn Campbell, the developer of the Danger Assessment, a groundbreaking contribution to the field of lethality assessment. The articles in this issue demonstrate the impact that Campbellā€™s work has had on the field of intimate partner violence, on domestic violence jurisprudence, and on the lives of domestic violence victim-survivors. The complete issue, Volume 20 Number 5, includes the full text of all the articles listed above, with hyperlinks from table of contents entries to articles and linked article continuations, to facilitate reading.
