Abstract: 

Prostitutes are victims of many forms of violence. They are abused by customers, pimps, and police officers. However, a little known fact is that they also are victims of intimate partner violence. The cure for this epidemic of domestic violence starts with education and recognition of the variety of women, and men, who need help, including prostitutes. This article highlights some of the initiatives and programs implemented to address this specific aspect of IPV.
