Abstract: 

In January of 1996 counties in California were authorized to establish Domestic Violence Death Review Teams pursuant to Cal. Penal Code §§ 11163.3- 11163.5, a law nearly identical to the California statute authorizing Child Death Review Teams, Cal. Penal Code §§ 11166.7-11169. This article covers the evolution of this legislation.
