Abstract:
San Diego, CA, with its temperate climate, is home to 2.8 million people. It is usually a very nice place to live, vacation, or retire. However, last October, wildfires devastated the region. In the course of one week, three separate firestorms consumed over 380,000 acres. Staff of Aging & Independence Services (AIS), a division of the county’s Health & Human Service Agency, jumped into action. This article discusses its actions. Keywords: resource guide developed
