Abstract:

In recent months, awards and grants have recognized the achievements of some leaders in elder abuse prevention and remediation. This article discusses Marie-Therese Connolly’s genius grant, new members of the National Council on Aging’s board of directors, and other awards. In addition, some grants that have been awarded, as well as grants for which applications have been submitted and will soon be awarded, are discussed, because these grants help shape the future of anti-abuse research, and research helps shape praxis.
