Abstract:
The Department of Justice (DOJ), with support from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), released its report, The Elder Justice Roadmap Project, July 2015. The report reflects interviews with 750 people involved in elder justice throughout the United States. The Roadmap identifies the following as the top five priorities for combating elder abuse and improving the lives of older adults and identifies universal themes that cut across the various domains and phases.Keywords: physical, sexual, and psychological abuse; neglect; abandonment; financial exploitation; premature death, nursing home placement, hospitalization
