Abstract:
Four witnesses offer informative testimony on the pervasiveness of and difficulty in proving guardianship abuse. For example, in substantiated reports of elder abuse, nearly half involve cognitively impaired persons, and most cases of financial exploitation involve power of attorney abuse.
