Abstract: 

This is the first of two papers that outline elements of a recovery-oriented integrated system (ROIS). This first paper focuses on a common vernacular, a key element toward integrating the diverse stakeholders in the system. A subsequent paper will discuss the other elements of a system-wide capability in ROIS, including a uniform assessment capacity and methods for coordination, communication, management, and evaluation.
