Abstract:
The present study looks at the effectiveness of a quality assurance intervention model in comparison to a “treatment as usual” condition in order to determine optimal drug treatment program options. The authors conclude that a therapeutic community (TC) model, described here, is the most effective outcome-oriented model for treating inmate addiction issues.Keywords: therapeutic community; best practices
