Abstract:
Predicting recidivism risk can be of great benefit to correctional programers. The determination of risk of potential recidivism can allow administrators to develop treatment programs based upon risk factors while simultaneously providing policy makers with the information necessary to support programs and sentencing alternatives in order to reduce harm in their communities. This article discusses the the intricacies and difficulties of making such a recidivism prediction.Keywords: recidivism
