Abstract: 

In this article, Immarigeon discusses the importance of gender-specific principles, programs, and policies for boys and men involved with the criminal justice system. The author explains that while gender-identity is a widely-discussed topic with female programming, gender sensitivity is less apparent when programming for males. The author takes the position that gender is an important variable when programming for all offenders.
