Abstract:

This report is a follow up to an earlier Offender Substance Abuse Report article that presented preliminary Program Rehabilitation and Restitution (PRR) findings with regard to sealing criminal records (Wexler et al., 2005). This report provides updates on the problem of record sealing and the final PRR one- and two-year outcomes. The article expands upon the implications of collateral consequences on ex-offender employment, public assistance, and educational assistance.
