Abstract:
This piece reviews three legal proceedings, including a California Supreme Court decision rejecting a juvenile’s argument that he was wrongly treated when a court did not orally pronounce his commitment term at his dispositional hearing, Singer v. Raemisch, 593 F.3d 529 (7th Cir. 2010), and Foster v. Caruso, 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 19048 (W.D. Mich. March 3, 2010).Keywords: juvenile confinement; Dungeons and Dragons; required treatment programs
