Abstract:
Inmates with SMI may present a serious danger to self or others, often in cyclical swings, and need to be in a secure environment where they are safe and can receive needed treatment - Massachusetts implements a Secure Treatment Unit (STU), as an alternative to segregation.Keywords: Madrid v.
