Abstract: 

The complete issue includes all of the articles listed in the contents above plus briefer treatments of U.S. v. Runyon, 997 F.3d 192, (4th Cir. 2021),a case on effective assistance of counsel; Karsjens v. Lourey, 988 F.3d 1047(8th Cir. 2021), involving challenges to the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP); Smith v. Ryan, 2021 WL 948759 (D. Ariz.), in which the inmate grievant complained to the district court that his grievances and appeals have gone unanswered, thus necessitating the lawsuit; and a concluding commentary, “Tear those Walls Down,” that concludes prisons and prisoners would be better served if solitary confinement units were removed and replaced by areas devoted to therapeutic purposes.
