Abstract: 

Dockery v. Hall, No. 3:13-cv-326-TSLJMR (S.D.Miss. 2018), is a federal class action lawsuit challenging conditions at the East Mississippi Correctional Facility (EMCF) in Meridian. Plaintiffs’ counsel includes the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), Covington & Burling, and Elizabeth Alexander. The 83 page complaint was filed on May 30, 2013, and the five-week trial concluded on April 9, 2018. This article highlights approximately twenty of the more than 100 individual assertions in the complaint against the defendants.
